Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kent Johnson was injured against the Buffalo Sabres when he ran into teammate James van Riemsdyk.

The Columbus Blue Jackets Outlook and Success

Per The Athletic's Aaron Portzline, GM Don Waddell confirmed that Kent Johnson will not have surgery to repair his injured left shoulder. According to Portzline, he will miss "significant time," however.

Johnson was injured against the Buffalo Sabres when he ran into teammate James van Riemsdyk. He got up off the ice immediately holding his shoulder, and looked extremely frustrated.

Boone Jenner and Erik Gudbranson have both had shoulder surgery this month, so seeing Kent Johnson avoid surgery seems to be good news for the young winger.
