Former CBJ assistant coach Kenny McCudden has been hired by the Washington Capitals as an assistant/skills coach. McCudden spent the last eight seasons in Columbus before announcing he would be resigning eight days ago.
McCudden had spent 16 years with the Chicago Wolves of the IHL/AHL before coming to Columbus in 2015. Now McCudden will be joining the division rival Washington Capitals and most likely get to watch firsthand as Alexander Ovechkin breaks the all-time goal scoring record held currently by Wayne Gretzky.
Kenny McCudden was always very nice to fans and seemed like a very good coach. We wish him good luck in Washington.
