Vincent: "I care about Patrik"

Pascal Vincent was on 97.1 The Fan's Morning Juice this morning to discuss his team.

Regarding Patrik Laine and the situation surrounding his healthy scratch Vincent says, "He was injured, he came back and was excited to come back. He was cleared from the medical staff, and rightfully so, but I know Patrik quite a bit, and I care about Patrik. Then there's 29, the guy that wears the jersey 29. That's the player, and the relationship with the coaches and teammates. I felt, we felt, that he needed a little bit more time on the ice practicing to see the Patrik that we all know."

Vincent also says that Laine is the most talented player he's ever coached. He says that Laine's game coming back from injury was not up to the level that he knows Laine plays at. Vincent mentioned that Laine was not happy with being scratched, but Patrik knows the "intentions are good."
