Friedman believes the Blue Jackets will be looking to re-sign Fabbro and Olivier
According to Elliotte Friedman, the Columbus Blue Jackets are expected to extend Dante Fabbro and Mathieu Olivier. Friedman reported this in his latest 32 Thoughts blog.
Olivier, 27, has been a fan favourite from the start of his time in Columbus. In 55 games this season, he has set new career highs with 10 goals and 18 points. He also has 99 penalty minutes and 199 hits.
Fabbro, 26, has found a new home since being claimed off waivers by the Blue Jackets. In 37 games with his new team, he has four goals and 13 points.
There could be a chance that the Blue Jackets work on these extensions over the 4 Nations Face-Off. However, they have until the offseason to get a new contract done.
