Vincent joins Morning Juice to talk CBJ

I could listen to Columbus Coach Pascal Vincent talk all day long. He has this therapeutic tone about his voice that just seems to draw people in and make them listen, and hopefully, his team feels that way too.

Vincent joined Morning Juice on 97.1 The Fan today to talk about his team's first couple of games, his optimism is infectious.

With three games in, Vincent says he's trying to find out "who we are as a team" and "what the players are going to bring to the table." Vincent goes on to say that "everyone has a flavor, has a different set of skills that they can bring, and how often they can bring it." Based on that comment, I wouldn't expect anything to change in terms of blending the lines for the next few weeks.

Critics have said in the last few days, that because he's been here for a few years, and the team has had little turnover, with players and coaches, he should know the answers to those questions already. But with youngsters like Adam Fantilli and David Jiricek in the lineup, and Alex Texier returning, I would imagine he's trying to figure out who to put them with so that they succeed.

This team might need a few weeks to figure this out, but when they do, teams could be in trouble. A case in point is Saturday against the Rangers, in that game, they had it figured out mostly. Now comes the consistency part that needs to be hammered out.
