The Columbus Blue Jackets had some ups and downs this week, from a blowout loss to the Detroit Red Wings to a wacky game in Minnesota. Click the links below for the stories of this past week.
The Jackets are rumored to have an interest in the Vancouver Canucks Conor Garland. Could Andrew Peeke be the player going back for Garland?
The CBJ played against the Detroit Red Wings on Monday and it wasn't pretty. They got beat pretty bad that night with Spencer Martin in the net. Martin played because Elvis was sick. Jet Greaves was called up to back Martin up.
HC Pascal Vincent appeared on The Fan to talk about his team.
ESPN released their top 100 players, there were a few CBJ players on it.
Zach Werenski took to the airwaves last week, one of the things he spoke on was the "very dirty hit" that put him on IR. Listen to that short interview here.
97.1 The Fan has done a good job promoting the CBJ, especially the shows that run from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jake Bean was on one of those.
Zach was activated off of IR just in time for the Jackets to take on the Flames. Jacob Markstrom and the Flames came into NWA and laid an egg against the Jackets. The Jackets have 20 wins all-time against the Flames at home.
The Blue Jackets decided to send Liam Foudy down to Cleveland, but to do that, they had to put in on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to the AHL, he didn't make it. Nashville put a waiver claim in on Foudy, so his time in Columbus is over.
On Saturday night, the CBJ traveled to Minnesota to take on the Wild. Adam Fantilli got his shot at center for the first time and was 5th on the team in ice time. In what would turn out to be a wacky game, Fantilli would finally get on the board.
