The Dallas Stars will have a premium opportunity tonight to put the series to rest tonight in Game Six. The Stars will look to carry the momentum from their dominating 6-2 win in Game Five. The Stars are faced with another tough task of picking up a victory on the road in Colorado.

The Dallas Stars broke through offensively for the first time all series on Monday night. Up until their 6-2 victory in Game Five, the Stars have barely scraped by with two overtime wins. Dallas laid down the hammer on Colorado following a 4-0 loss, where goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood collected his first career playoff shutout. Stars forward Wyatt Johnston had been quiet up until Game Five's breakout game. Johnston is coming off a season in which the 21-yr old forward tallied his second consecutive 30-goal season on top of notching a career-high 71 points.

Dallas Offense Erupts In Game Five Win To Take 3-2 Series Lead Dallas Offense Erupts In Game Five Win To Take 3-2 Series Lead The Dallas Stars needed to win on Monday night. Despite the fact that the series was tied after four games, Dallas would have home ice advantage two more times before the series would be over. What the Stars also needed was for their offense to wake up and produce. The fans got to see both as the Stars took a series lead, as well as offensive awakening in Game Five.

Mikko Rantanen also got in on the scoring in Monday's contest with a one-timer on the odd-man rush to push the Stars lead to 3-0. Rantanen has had a frustrating start to his playoff career with Dallas. Coming into the first round matchup against this former club, the Finnish star scored 34 goals in 81 playoff games. Up until Game five, Rantanen managed a lone point.

Will The Real Mikko Rantanen Please Stand Up? Will The Real Mikko Rantanen Please Stand Up? The Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche head into Game Four of their playoff series as the Stars carry a 2-1 series lead. Thus far, the Stars have thus far been blessed with clutch scoring in the form of overtime goals from Colin Blackwell and Tyler Seguin. Even though the Stars are ahead in the series, the fact remains that they have yet to receive any support from Mikko Rantanen. The trade deadline acquisition has yet to live up to his playoff expectations.

Heading into tonight's do-or-die game for the Avalanche, that the Stars will give no quarter in order to seal the series. It is also a collective thought, and hope that the Stars' offense will come to play in the early going to replicate the successful previous outing. On top of offense. The Stars will also need to play almost pristine defense in front of goaltender Jake Oettinger, who has been peppered throughout the series. Through his first five playoff games in 2025, Oettinger has held a goals-against average of 2.58. While Oettinger has stood tall, his defense at times has faltered in front of him, leading to high volumes of shots on net for the Avalanche.

Stars Goaltender Might Have To Be Perfect For Stars To Take Series Lead In Colorado Stars Goaltender Might Have To Be Perfect For Stars To Take Series Lead In Colorado The Dallas Stars prepare for their Game Three matchup as they head to Colorado. The Stars are coming of a thrilling conclusion in Game Two as they pulled off a win in overtime to tie the series. The Stars will now face the tough task of winning games in the Ball Arena, a location that has not been kind to Dallas this season. The Stars will need goaltender Jake Oettinger to continue his solid play, or even take his play to another level, to give the Stars an edge to come back home with a series lead.

This trend alone suggests that the Stars come into tonight's Game Six with the utmost of urgency to win. Dallas will aim to play a disciplined game, with the same level of energy exhibited in their 6-2 victory. Tonight's puck drop is scheduled for 8:30pm CDT, and can be viewed on TBS, Max, and Victory+.
