    The Stars and Winnipeg Jets will do battle in the Stanley Cup Playoffs after both clinching their previous playoff series in thrilling Game 7's. The Stars aim to keep up their scoring ways, as they notched four unanswered goals in the third period in the series finale. Dallas will look to also turn the tables on the Jets, as they fell short in three of the four regular season matchups. 

    The Stars forward Jason Robertson will make his playoff debut after exiting the regular season finale on April 16th with an injury. Defenseman Miro Hieskanen has already been ruled out for tonight's game.

    1st Period

    The Stars have dominated the puck possession early on. Stars outshoot the Jets seven minutes into the game, 9-1. 

    Kyle Conner gets the puck in the slot, but Oettinger catches it and stops play at 11:01.

    After a fast start, the Stars are now struggling to clear the zone. Shots are now 9-5 Stars with 9:56 left in the period. 

    Marchment takes a hooking penalty after his stick gets stuck under Pionk's arm at 13:30.

    Oettinger makes a sprawling save to deny Vilardi with three seconds left on the penalty kill. 

    Cody Ceci gets called for high sticking with 4.9 seconds left in the 1st period. 

    Pionk rips a shot from the point that Oettinger deflects. 

    Stars finish the period being outshot 13-12. Jets will have the power play to start the second period. 

    2nd Period 

    Winnipeg starts the period with 1:27 left on the power play. 

    Stars kill the penalty. Jets 0/2 on the man advantage for the game. 

    Niederreiter collects the loose puck off the Appleton stretch pass on the odd man rush and fires a backhander to the far side of Oettinger to break open the scoring. 1–0 Jets, 3:30 into the 2nd period. 

    The teams get a breather with 12:13 left as Winnipeg is called for offside.

    Mikko Rantanen jams in the rebound as he fights for position with Samberg. Sixth goal of the playoffs for Rantanen. 1-1 with 11:17 left in the period. 

    Benn gets called for hooking at 9:54. Jets go on the power play for the third time. 

    Oettinger slides to his right to make a pad save as the Winnipeg power play expires. 7:56 left in the period. 

    Rantanen deflects Harley's wrist shot for his second goal of the night. Stars take a 2-1 lead with 5:37 left in the 2nd period. 

    Fleury heads to the box with 3:49 for cross-checking. Dallas gets their first power play of the night. 

    Rantanen's pass to Hintz deflects off of Samberg and gets past Hellebuyck for the power play goal. Rantanen now has a hat trick in two consecutive playoff games. 3-1 Stars 16:38 into the period. 

    Mark Sheifele gets the pass from Gabriel Vilardi off the turnover and snaps a wrist shot from the slot past Jake Oettinger to answer back 57 seconds later. 3-2 Stars 2:26 left in the 2nd period. 

    3rd Period

    Oettinger pokes away the puck from Connor to break up the odd man rush early in the period. 

    Jason Robertson hits the ice and Vilardi heads to penalty box for elbowing at 15:55.

    Hintz and DeMelo are both sent off for roughing penalties. 1:22 left on the Dallas power play. 

    Seguin gets called for high sticking off the face off at 5:46. 4-on-4 for 19 seconds until Winnipeg goes on the power play.

    Stars clear the puck one final time as Seguin leaves the penalty box. Jets are now 0/4 on the power play. 

    Perfetti speeds down ice on the rush and rips one that hits Oettinger in the logo. 10:11 left in the 3rd period. 

    Stars get called for icing after a few unsuccessful rushes by the Jets. 3:38 left in the 3rd period. 

    Granlund collects the loose puck in the slot and runs out of room trying to deke past Hellebuyck. 2:40 left in regulation.

    Jets pull Hellebuyck with 1:50 left.

    Loose puck trickles in front of Vilardi in front of the Stars net and a scrum ensues. Dallas manage to clear the puck with 1:18 left. Winnipeg net still empty.

    Oettinger makes the glove save through traffic with 31.5 left in regulation.

    Dallas gets called for icing with 8.7 left. 

    Another Dallas icing call with 1 second left. 

    Stars win 3-2 to take Game 1.
