Stars Aim To Extend Winning Streak In Series Finale With Flames

The Dallas Stars head into the final game of the season above the border in Canada, taking on the Calgary Flames. The Stars go into the season series finale carrying a three-game win streak. The Flames come into Thursday night's matchup with a win streak of their own, picking up four straight wins to keep themselves in the hunt for the last wild card spot in the Western Conference. 

Dallas will look to close out the remainder of their schedule, and Thursday night will mark the end of their travel to Canada. They square off against the Calgary Flames, who are currently fighting for their playoff lives in the Western Conference Wild Card race. The Flames are currently riding high with a four-game win streak, while the Stars look to extend theirs respectively to four. Dallas is coming off a hard fought victory in Edmonton, where they toppled the Oilers 4-3.  Forward Jason Roberston carried the offensive load in the victory by scoring a hat-trick, while Roope Hintz and Thomas Harley combined for five points. 

The Stars will have Casey DeSmith in goal tonight, giving Jake Oettinger some rest coming into the second leg of the back-to-back games. Stars forward Mikko Rantanen will look to tally a goal, as he has only mustered two since joining the stars back on March 7th.  Defenseman Thomas Harley is currently riding a three-game point streak, while being one of the hottest players on the Stars since the NHL resumed play after the 4 Nations Face-Off.
