The Dallas Stars returned after three days off and beat the Arizona Coyotes 5-2 at home.

With the return of Tyler Seguin to the lineup, the Dallas Stars had four complete lines that were all on display in a 5-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes.
Seguin was a part of one of the best lines in the NHL, but has been out with injury since the Feb. 22 game in Ottawa. His linemates Matt Duchene and Mason Marchment struggled to produce at the same high level during his absence, but that line immediately picked up where they left off Wednesday.
A dazzling pass from Duchene that had the NHL world buzzing set up Seguin's goal to cap off his successful return.
Seguin's return meant that the Stars now have three lines that can play at a top line level on any given night. All four lines scored a goal Wednesday, and the depth at forward for Dallas looks lethal as the season quickly moves toward the finish line of the regular season.
The Stars were fully in control for the final two periods, but the first period was underwhelming. Aside from a couple of pretty good saves at both ends, the period was moving towards a 0-0 stalemate before Clayton Keller squeezed a wrist shot through Jake Oettinger's five hole with less than a minute left in the period to take a 1-0 lead.
Dallas roared to life in the second, rattling off three straight goals and never looking back. Nils Lundkvist took advantage of his return to the lineup with a shot from the point that bounced off Connor Ingram and right to a wide open Logan Stankoven, who guided it to a yawning cage for his sixth goal of the season.
Lundkvist wasn't done making an impact, as he put a perfect pass on the tape of Jamie Benn for the captain's 13th goal of the season for the Stars second goal. Less than a minute later, Seguin netted his goal to send the American Airlines Center into a frenzy.
With Jani Hakanpaa out with a lower body injury, Lundkvist had a chance to prove that he needed to be one of the top six defensemen as the playoffs draw nearer, and aside from taking a puck to the face that required postgame stitches near the end of the third period, the game could not have gone better for Lundkvist. He and Ryan Suter once again looked invisible in the best way outside of the offensive contributions. The duo worked well together to shut down the Coyotes and avoid any noticeable mistakes.
The third period started with two early goals from Jason Robertson and Craig Smith to extend the lead to 5-1 and put the game squarely in the books. John Leonard scored his first as a Coyote to make the final score 5-2.
Robertson once again had a quiet but effective two point night with his 24th goal and a secondary assist on Stankoven's goal. He leads the Stars in points with 70, a full 11 points clear of Duchene in second place. Even though he is far away his 100+ point season last year, Robertson still finds a way to lead a spread out scoring list by a wide margin.
This win puts Dallas back level with the Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche for the lead in the Central Division with 93 points. Dallas is in third based on points percentage, and also have far fewer regulation wins than the other two teams. All the Stars can do is keep winning and hope the other two teams slip up enough down the stretch if Dallas wants to win the most competitive division race in the NHL.
Up next for the Stars is the downward spiraling Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday.
