The Dallas Stars pulled off the incredible in the latter moments of Game Seven, and overcame a two goal deficit to the mighty Avalanche to take the series. The main headline of the Game Seven finale was the incredible hat-trick by forward Mikko Rantanen to send his former team packing. What many will forget or have not realized, is that the hero in the final minutes was goaltender Jake Oettinger.

The Stars had a remarkable comeback win late in the Saturday contest with the Colorado Avalanche. While the excitement mainly stemmed from Mikko Rantanen's hat-trick, and Wyatt Johnston's game-winning goal, the overshadowed performance was that of Jake Oettinger. The Dallas goaltender let up two goals, with one coming in the early seconds of the third period, Oettinger was able to stand tall to shut the door on the Avalanche for the remaining 19:29.

With the urgency to tie the game, and take the lead, the Avalanche peppered the Minnesota native, stopped 12 of the 13 shots thrown his way in the third period. Depsite some less to be desired defense in front of him at times, the Dallas net minder has put forth an impressive 2.85 goals-against average, along with a .911 save percentage.
