The Dallas Stars may have been knocked out of the Western Conference Finals already, but their minor league team in the AHL, the Texas Stars are still fighting for a chance. Ahead of the Stars playoff run, they called up Alexander Petrovic and Ben Kraws for some additional depth.
As we all know, Petrovic has been called up for more than just depth purposed the past two seasons. This season, Petrovic played during the whole playoff run, even staying in the lineup over Ilya Lyubushkin when Miro Heiskanen returned to the lineup.

Today it was announced that the Stars sent Petrovic and Kraws back down to the Texas Stars. The Texas Stars are currently taking on the Abbotsford Canucks in the Western Conference Finals and are down 2-0 in the series. Adding Petrovic and Kraws could get the Texas Stars some needed reinforcements, as they face Abbotsford on Monday night in Cedar Park.
Lian Bichsel, who started the season with the Texas Stars, was not sent down to the AHL affiliate, which would likely indicate that the Stars do not foresee him returning to the AHL in the future.
