Jake Oettinger will make his 4 Nations Face-off debut tonight against Team Sweden
Dallas Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger will finally get his chance tonight, as he will get the start for the United States in one last warmup before their Championship Final on Thursday. Oettinger has been sidelined for the first two games due to the USA sticking with their start, Connor Hellebuyck. The Dallas goaltender will be tasked with stopping Sweden, who has the lowest goals forced out of the four teams showcased at the NHL Face-Off.
Jake Oettinger went into the break as one of the best goaltenders in the NHL thus far. Oettinger has tallied 26 wins so far, placing him second in the NHL behind fellow USA goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. The 26-year-old goalie will be making his 4 Nation's Face-off debut tonight, as the United States will have one last game before they square off against Canada in the tournament championship.
Jake Oettinger is no stranger to the international stage, as he last played for the United States during the 2021 IIHF World Championships. Puck drop for tonight's matchup is scheduled for 7pm CST, and can be viewed on TNT, TRU TV, and MAX.
