Watch Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond wheel through the offensive zone to open the scoring against Vancouver.

It took just 45 seconds into Saturday's game against Vancouver for Lucas Raymond to score what could be a goal of the year candidate.

Off a give-and-go through the neutral zone facilitated by Red Wings forward David Perron, Raymond flew into the offensive zone along the left side, outskating Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers deep into the zone before using a power move to maneuver around him. Outwaiting Canucks goalie Casey DeSmith off a deke, Raymond fired the net into a yawning cage.

The goal marked Raymond's 14th of the season and his 42nd point on the season. The 21-year-old Swedish winger is on pace for 67 points this season, which would eclipse his career best of 57 in his rookie year.

Detroit leads Vancouver 1-0 thanks to Raymond's effort. You can watch the game on Bally Sports Detroit, or on ESPN+.
