The popular Detroit-based streetwear brand SANA is set to release a collaboration with the Red Wings, which will be launched and sold at a pop-up at next Tuesday's game against the Washington Capitals at Little Caesars Arena.

The collection includes t-shirts, hoodies, ball caps, beanies, and even an exclusive Red Wing jersey.  Fans can purchase a special ticket package for the game that includes a SANA t-shirt and affords early access to the pop-up shop at LCA, and both Jake Walman and Moritz Seider appeared in the promotional materials for the release.

“This collaboration goes beyond two brands working together. It's truly monumental for the entire city of Detroit,” SANA CEO Michael Sana said. “Being able to partner with the Detroit Red Wings has been a dream come true because of the historic culture this team created. Ever since I can remember, my father had been taking me to Red Wings games, so this one definitely hits a little closer to home. We can finally take another step closer into bringing Detroit's culture to the rest of the world."

This collaboration is not the first time SANA has partnered up with one of Detroit's pro teams.  Over the summer, in honor of legendary third baseman Miguel Cabrera's retirement, the brand launched a collection with the Tigers, which was released during Cabrera's final weekend before retirement.

This Red Wings collection comes at a moment when fans (and even athletes) have grown increasingly frustrated with the poor quality and limited options available to them from a certain sports apparel monopoly, for whom cheap craftsmanship, dubious quality, and often boring products seem to be the objective.

SANA offers fans an alternative to that reality with unique artistic designs and enduring quality, and the reaction to the collaboration's announcement makes clear that fans are grateful for that alternative choice.
