Devon Levi Pays Homage To Former Oilers Goalie With New Mask Design

New Edmonton Oilers goaltender Devon Levi is bringing some new gear with him to the team as he gets set to make his Oilers debut during the 2025-26 season. A new mask design accmpanies him to Edmonton, but it's a look some fans will be familiar with.

Levi's mask design is meant to pay homage to a former Oilers legend, Grant Fuhr.

Speaking with the Oilers media team, Levi said, "I actually had the opportunity to meet Grant Fuhr. It was probably a year and a half ago at the American League All-Star Game. He was getting inducted into the Hall of Fame, and I went to the ceremony, and I got to meet him. I had, like, an hour-and-a-half conversation with him, just talking about his career and his experiences here."

He added, "Kind of ironic now that I'm in Edmonton"

"He's someone that I look up to. He's an historic figure. He's such an amazing guy, an amazing goalie." He said, "Being here, I wanted to show him a little respect and do a little tribute helmet and kind of keep his legacy going."
