Oilers Hometown Remix Hockey Jersey Leaked?
Some posts on social media suggest that this year's NHL Hometown Hockey Jerseys have leaked. Macy's has apparently posted all of the jerseys online and for sale before the NHL has had a chance to officially unveil them.

Ekholm Scores in First Game Back After Injury
Mattias Ekholm got on the board, putting the Edmonton Oiles up 2-0 against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday night. A shot from the point that had eyes and went over the shouler of Dustin Wolf.

Babcock Unfazed By Walman's Feelings After Being Scratched
"You should for sure ask him," said Edmonton Oilers head coach Mike Babcock while responding to a question about how defenseman Jake Walman will take being made a healthy scratch. Babcock clearly cares about the players, but in this case, it sounds like he's taking a tough-love approach.
Babcock says Jake Walman is in the wrong spots over and over again and that's why he's not playing tonight as the Oilers meet the Calgary Flames.

Oilers Roll Out $10 Decade Deals To Attract More Fans
The Edmonton Oilers have introduced $10 food deals at Rogers Place, including burgers, perogy dogs, and a beer-and-hot-dog combo, as well as discounted $10 parking and $10 Oilers T-shirts. This seems intended to bring in more fans, something the organization has struggled to do this season.
Ticket sales have dropped noticeably, and several empty seats have become the norm for home games. The Oilers decided it was time to act.

Mattias Ekholm Talks Concussion, Says He Got Lucky
Mattias Ekholm considers himself lucky. After suffering a concussion during a game against the Carolina Hurricanes, there was a chance the defenseman could miss some time for the Edmonton Oilers. Instead, he was back on the ice Tuesday, skating in his regular pairing with Evan Bouchard and it appears Ekholm will go Wednesday night versus the Calgary Flames.
He spoke about the hit that put him on the side of his head and his immediate thoughts as he realized something was wrong.

Zach Hyman Leaves Game for Oilers With Possible Concussion Concern
Zach Hyman left the ice in the second period for the Oilers. It's unclear what the injury is, but he fell slowly, and the way he was crunched over didn't look good. He was able to leave the ice under his own power. He took a hit from Andreas Englund.
If it's concussion protocol, he'll be out for 15 minutes. If it was a winded knock, it could be temporary. Too soon to tell. It does look like it might be a concussion issue.

Devon Levi Developmen at Oilers Practice?
The Edmonton Oilers were without defenseman Mattias Ekholm (UBI) and goaltender Devon Levi on Friday, as neither took the ice for practice this morning. The first was not a surprise given the nasty fall in Thursday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Levi absence is a bit more concerning.
As of this post, we're awaiting confirmation on why Levi was not on the ice. The hope is that this was just a rest or maintenance day and not an injury. Given Levi's play, it would be a huge loss for the Oilers if he missed any time.

Oilers Goalie Gets His Stanley Cup Ring
Frederik Andersen received his Stanley Cup Championship ring on Thursday, given to him by his former coach Rod Brind'Amour and GM Eric Tulsky.
The Hurricanes are playing the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night, and with Andersen now a member of the Oilers roster, Thursday was the first opportunity the team had to give him his ring in person. He was brought into the visitors' dressing room and, after a couple of speeches, got to see his ring.

Oilers Have a New Tradition After Every Big Win
The Edmonton Oilers have introduced a new tradition. Oilers have added a second postgame award after their 4-3 overtime win over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday... a crowbar!
The team began the season by giving its player of the game only a Wayne Gretzky Oilers helmet. After the win, Leon Draisaitl, who scored twice, introduced a crowbar for the hardest-working player.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Will Return Thursday For the Edmonton Oilers
Edmonton Oilers head coach Mike Babcock revealed that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will return to the lineup Thursday night as the Oilers take on the Carolina Hurricanes.
He noted that it will allow the Oilers to spread out their center depth a bit more, so it will be interesting to see if he keeps Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl together, or if he continues with that top line, where Nugent-Hopkins will slot in.
