Does Owen Michaels Stick When Oilers Healthy?

Owen Michaels is off to a strong start for the Oilers in the 2026–27 season. Question becomes, is he playing well enough that he’ll keep his spot when the rest of the roster get healthy in return?

Michaels is winning face offs, playing well on the penalty kill, and most importantly, garnering the attention head coach, Mike Babcock. Babcock seems to like the forward but as a rookie, can he maintain momentum when names like Zach Hyman, Ryan, Nugent-Hopkins, and Matt Savoie are back?
