Lighthearted Video Quickly Shifting the Mike Babcock Narrative

The Edmonton Oilers are 5-0-1 to start the NHL season, and the narrative on head coach Mike Babcock is quickly shifting. A recent video posted by the team and their traveling reporter, Paige Martin, provided evidence that the naysayers might have had it all wrong.

The video shows a lighthearted Babcock having fun in a post-game interview with Martin following Edmonton's 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings. He flipped the script and the two did a little role reversal.

"Greatest thing that’s ever happened to this organization," wrote one fan. Another sarcastically added, "Wow, what a horrible human being."
