Oilers Activate EBUG Ahead of Game vs. Ducks

The Edmonton Oilers have activated EBUG goaltender Brett Epp ahead of Thursday's game versus the Anaheim Ducks. With Tristan Jarry ill, and Devon Levi not quite ready to return, Epp will back up Matt Tomkins.

Epp comes from the MacEwan University Griffins, playing for the team in 2024-25. “The big reason he’s here is the guys like him,” goalie coach Peter Aubry said. “Fortunately, we had a free peek last year where Brett had come out and done a few practices with us, so that was a good thing and gives everyone a little bit more comfort.”

If they need him on Thursday, the Oilers are hoping he's up to the task.

Isaac Howard was moved to IR to make room for the move.
