Oilers Pulling Defenseman vs. Kraken, Emberson Gets First Look

After allowing 13 goals in two games, the Edmonton Oilers appear to be making a switch on their blue line. It appears Shakir Mukhamadullin -- who has struggled early in the year -- is coming out of the lineup and Ty Emberson is coming in.

Emberson lost his spot on the opening night roster to Mukhamadullin, who impressed in camp and head coach Mike Babcock said he really liked his skill and size. Mattias Ekholm said there "might be a player there." Unforunately, he's struggled, and his partnership with Jake Walman on Thursday was a disaster.

Emberson is steadier. He'll bring a more calming presence to the Oilers blue line in a game that needs a bit of stability.
