The Edmonton Oilers look to extend their winning streak against the Seattle Kraken.
EDMONTON --The Edmonton Oilers are looking to make it a dozen wins in a row tonight against the Seattle Kraken. This is not the first meeting of these clubs this season. The first game on November 11 resulted in a 4-1 victory for the Oilers. The next day Jay Woodcroft and Dave Manson were let go and Kris Knoblauch (along with Paul Coffey) were sworn in.
Their second game against the Kraken was also the second game of Knoblauch's tenure as Oilers head coach. That game was a 4-3 win for the Oilers in overtime on the back of an Evander Kane hat trick.

Fast forward to tonight and it's been two months since the last time these two teams have met in game action. Tonight should be an entertaining game for all - as both teams look to solidify their playoff positions.
The Oilers will look to build off of the energy and momentum that has accumulated over this historic win streak. They can't slow down, and have no intention of doing so.

In the Toronto Maple Leafs post game availability Knoblauch brought up areas of the team's game that he wants to see them tighten up. Yes, they are winning, but they could be playing better as a whole - and that's what Knoblauch is trying to achieve.
Calvin Pickard participated in the optional morning skate this morning, so Stuart Skinner will be the starting goalie tonight. Sam Gagner returns to the lineup with Adam Erne coming out.
Game time will be at 7 PM Mountain time tonight.
