The Edmonton Oilers did not get a tremendous amount of production out of Brown during the regular season. The veteran winger drew the ire from many of Oil Country's fans for the big price tag he signed on for in the offseason.

In 71 regular season games he registered 12 points. For the 2024 playoffs he has five points in 16 games. In Game five of the Stanley Cup Final he scored his first goal of the postseason.

Brown has been a vital part of the Oilers penalty kill all year long. His efforts have contributed to the Oilers having a 93.6% success rate on the penalty kill during the playoffs.
The duo of Mattias Janmark with Brown have single-handedly contributed to the Oilers creating a new NHL playoff record.
They are the first team to open a game with a shorthanded goal in back-to-back Stanley Cup Final games. Janmark was the one who scored the opening goal for the Oilers in Game four.
