The Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars engaged in one of the most entertaining games to happen this post season. The Stars tied the game at 2-2 with only a few minutes left in the third period.

The Oilers eventually won the game 3-2 in the second overtime period. However, there was some hurdles to overcome in the first overtime.

Off the opening draw, Connor McDavid gets called on a double-minor high sticking penalty. The Stars may have felt like they were about to win this game - but the Oilers' penalty killers and Stuart Skinner had other plans.

After that, McDavid came back out onto the ice to wreck havoc on the ice. He had a moment to end the entire game - but Jake Oettinger had other plans.

Once the teams left the ice to prepare for the additional extra frame - you know that McDavid was thinking about that save for the entire intermission.

That was never more apparent that when McDavid scored the game winning goal.

McDavid deflected a shot-pass from Evan Bouchard past Oettinger. With that goal, he will be able to put his earlier failed attempt to rest - without it haunting his dreams.
