Blues head coach Jim Montgomery spoke to the media after the game and discussed how Broberg’s goal gave the Blues some momentum.

“It was really important because I didn’t like the start of our first eight to ten minutes,” Montgomery explained. “And then we started to come after that goal.”

When discussing the win itself, Montgomery felt a few key areas led to the Blues' victory.

“I think we utilized our speed and physicality,” Montgomery said. “I thought we were able to be physical down low. I thought we were able to skate with some speed through the neutral zone.”

Broberg’s game isn’t very physical. But Oilers fans know his skating is impeccable, and he can help transition the puck with quick passes.

In addition to his goal, Broberg also assisted on the team’s second goal by Nathan Walked (another former Oilers player). He finished the game with the two points, and one blocked shot in 18:43 of ice time.

For his offensive outburst, Broberg was named the first star of the game. Game 7 is scheduled for Sunday, May 4th, at 5:00 PM Mountain Time.
