One series is going to have to wait at least one more game to determine a winner.

There were quite a few Game fives last night. The Carolina Hurricanes and Colorado Avalanche defeated their counterparts (the New York Islanders and Winnipeg Jets) to advance to the next round. The Toronto Maple Leafs delayed their exit from the playoffs by winning against the Boston Bruins 2-1 in overtime.

The final game from last night featured the Nashville Predators living to fight another day by defeating the Vancouver Canucks 2-1. All three goals were scored in the third period - with Nikita Zadorov scoring first for the Canucks and then Roman Josi and Alexandre Carrier both scoring for the Predators.

For the first time this post season Tyson Barrie dressed for the Predators - and he made an immediate impact.

While on the power play in the third period Barrie collected the puck from behind the net, and then drops a pass for Josi. Josi takes it up the ice past the Canucks blue line, dishes it to Filip Forsberg, who passes right back to Josi who gets it on net. The puck eventually finds it's way past Arturs Silvos.

Barrie would finish the game with the lone assist in 17:42 of total time on ice - which isn't bad for someone who hasn't played a game since March 28th.

The next game between the Canucks and Predators is on Friday. We will see then if the Canucks can finish the series off or if the Predators will force a Game seven.
