Edmonton Oilers fans will want to keep a tabs on one of the games scheduled for tonight.

While the Edmonton Oilers still need to win one more game to officially eliminate the Los Angeles Kings, two teams have already been sent home from the playoffs. First the Washington Capitals were swept by the New York Rangers - and then the Tampa Bay Lightning fell to the Florida Panthers in five games.
The Oilers may hold a series lead - but the series is far from over and they should take their opponent very seriously. However, one game tonight could very quickly determine who they play in the next round of the playoffs.
Game five of the Vancouver Canucks versus Nashville Predators series kicks off at 8:00 PM Mountain Time tonight. This game is important for a few reasons.
For starters, the Canucks are up 3-1 in the series. With the game taking place in Vancouver tonight, the Canucks have a chance to officially advance to the next round in front of a home crowd - the same opportunity that lies before the Oilers tomorrow night.

If the Canucks win - the Oilers play the Canucks in the semi-finals. If the Predators win, then at least one more game is needed to decide a winner.
Either way, the Oilers second round opponent will become a lot clearer after tonight.
