Connor McDavid is featured in the final two episodes of the Amazon Docu-Series debuting Friday October 4th.

EDMONTON -- Amazon's Faceoff: Inside the NHL hasn't even debuted yet, and it's already making headlines.

Amazon Prime is debuting a new docu-series at the end of this week. Featuring the biggest names in the NHL including Matthew Tkachuk, Leon Draisaitl, David Pastrnak and the Edmonton Oilers captain himself, Connor McDavid.

ESPN's Greg Wyshynski gushed about the series' two-part finale on Twitter over the weekend. The journalist was given a sneak peak and he promises it will be memorable.

Wyshynski writes, "just finished the two-part finale of FACEOFF, the Prime Video docu-series, which focuses on the Stanley Cup Final between the Oilers and Florida Panthers."

He continues, "no hyperbole: it's 'HBO 24/7' good. You will never see Connor McDavid in the same way again."

This should be exciting for all hockey fans, not just the Oilers faithful. McDavid is the face of the league, and more people need to see what he is really like behind closed doors. 

Many hockey fans talk about McDavid's supposed "lack of personality." If Wyshynski is to be taken at his word here, footage from the series should blow those perceptions out of the water. 

On numerous occasions he's flexed his humor muscles with the media. He's revealing more of his personality, and the hockey world is better for it.

Fans only have to wait till Friday to see the six-part series. McDavid will be featured in episodes five and six, while his teammates Zach Hyman and Draisaitl will get their time to shine in episode five.
