Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jake Guentzel looks to be on the move before Friday.
EDMONTON -- Jake Guentzel is the belle of the ball for this year's trade deadline.
The Pittsburgh Penguins forward has been injured for a little while now - and isn't slated to return until late next week. In the meantime NHL general managers are clamouring for the chance to acquire him.

A number of suitors are calling Kyle Dubas to discuss a deal - and the Edmonton Oilers have been in the mix since the very beginning.
The reported asking price for Guentzel appeared to have the Oilers out of the running - but that may have changed.

Elliotte Friedman of The Jeff Marek Show had something to say about the Oilers connection to Guentzel. Friedman had mentioned in his blog that he didn't think, "they're (Edmonton) going to be able to get Guentzel."
Someone then reached out to Friedman to say, "'that may be true' [but] they don't think it means Edmonton has given up hope of trying to be in the Guentzel Derby.
Not that long ago Darren Dreger came out with a bomb of a tweet:
According to Dreger, the Penguins are hoping to have a Guentzel trade finalized by tomorrow night. A follow up tweet from Chris Johnstone reported that the Penguins are going to be trading him purely as a rental. Apparently interested teams have not shown interest in an extension as part of a deal.
Would you trade a 1st round pick, Warren Foegele and Matvei Petrov for Guentzel? There might not be a long wait to find out.
