After a five-day break between games, the Edmonton Oilers hit the road for a quick back-to-back with their Moms in tow. Their first stop is a Saturday afternoon game against the Los Angeles Kings.

The Oilers entered their Christmas break on a high note with a 3-1 win over the visiting Ottawa Senators. Now, they kick off their two-game trip to California to face a familiar face in Warren Foegele.

Foegele has been off to a good start with the Kings. With 18 points in 34 games, the forward is on pace for another career year.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was a late scratch from the Oilers' last game against the Senators. It looks like a good turkey dinner has him feeling better, as he took his typical place on Connor McDavid's flank at practice yesterday.

With Nugent-Hopkins back in the fold, Viktor Arvidsson moved down to play with Leon Draisaitl and Vasily Podkolzin. The trio were together before Arvidsson missed some time with injury.

Kasperi Kapanen joins Adam Henrique and Connor Brown to create a new third line. Podkolzin's play style has greatly complemented Draisaitl, so it makes sense that Kapanen falls down the depth chart instead.

The fourth line includes Jeff Skinner, Mattias Janmark, and Corey Perry. Janmark will play center again after taking a game off from that role in their most recent win. Stuart Skinner is expected to be the starting goalie.

Rise and shine, Oilers fans, it's hockey time again.
