EDMONTON -- Ken Holland and company are in the hunt for forward depth before the trade deadline next Friday. They have been connected to multiple players over the past several weeks.

Most notably, they were rumored to be in on both Chris Tanev and Elias Lindholm. The Oilers are one of several teams in the running for a few forwards, according to a report that came out yesterday.

Darren Dreger on TSN: Insider Trading talked about the forwards that are of interest to the Oilers. Tyler Toffoli, Pavel Buchnevich and Jordan Eberle were all named (see the above video).

"You can be sure that the Oilers and the Vegas Golden Knights are going to be among the top clubs trying to pick one up," Dreger said to conclude his segment.

Dreger also mentioned that Eberle would only be a possibility if he doesn't re-sign with the Seattle Kraken. Eberle rejoining the Oilers for a Stanley Cup run would be a heartwarming return for many fans of the team.

Although he was not named in this particular report, it's safe to assume that Jake Guentzel is on both the Oilers and Golden Knights radar.

The clock is ticking, and the pressure is rising as the deadline swiftly approaches.
