Fresh draft picks join seasoned prospects as Edmonton’s top young talents report for medicals before kicking off the season with a high-stakes clash against the Calgary Flames.

The Edmonton Oilers have announced details for their 2026 Rookie Camp, which begins on Friday, September 11. 

The roster features familiar names like Ike Howard, Josh Samanski, Quinn Hutson, and Connor Clattenburg, along with fresh faces that should excite Oilers fans and offer a glimpse into the team's future. 

The team announced that Oilers Rookie Camp will begin on Friday, September 11, with players reporting for medicals and their first on-ice practice at the Downtown Community Arena. They noted that the roster features 25 players (14 forwards, seven defencemen and four goaltenders). 

The group will include selections from the 2026 NHL Draft, including Rudolfs Berzkalns, Andrew Robinson, Caden Harvey, and Ryan Cameron. 

Led by the Bakersfield Condors coaching staff, players will hit the ice at 2:15 PM on Friday, September 11 to start three days of practice before getting their first taste of the Battle of Alberta against the Calgary Flames rookies on Monday, September 14 at 6:00 PM at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
