Puck drop for Game one of the Edmonton Oilers against the Vancouver Canucks second round series inches closer. While hockey fans will have to wait longer to see the teams play each other - there are some updates to the times that certain games will happen.
When the full schedule for the second round came out yesterday - it only had the time attached for the first two games of the series. Today, the NHL has announced the start time for Game three.
Game three will take place on Sunday May 12th - which just so happens to be Mothers' Day. The Oilers first home game of the series will start at 9:30 PM Eastern Standard time - which is 7:30 PM Mountain Time.
Given the time difference between this game and the first game of the night (Florida Panthers vs Boston Bruins), I'm not surprised. That first game was scheduled for 6:30 PM Eastern Standard time. So there is a pattern of a three-hour stagger of start times whenever games are played in this round.
When the time comes for puck drop, I expect there will be a lot of mothers in the crowd - cheering on their team.
