EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers are playing the Minnesota Wild tonight - for the final time this season. The season series is split one game a piece. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will return to game action after missing the game against the Boston Bruins.
A few things are almost for certain with the Kris Knoblauch coached Oilers - a very calm presence behind the bench, and a third period assault.
Since November 13th the Oilers have the best third period goal differential.
They have scored 33 more goals than their opponents in the third period. They have out-scored their opponents in the first and second period as well - but to a lesser degree.
Connor McDavidTonight Oilers fans will eagerly watch the team to see if that trend continues.
