As the Oilers and Dallas Stars prepare to lock horns on Wednesday night in Texas, it’s a good time to highlight the contributions of Bouchard over his playoff career.
Bouchard averages 1.09 points per game in the playoffs. During the regular season, he averages 0.69. That’s an increase of 0.4 points per game in the postseason.
According to NHL Public Relations, this is the highest point increase per game for any skater in NHL history.
This should cement Bouchard’s place on the Oilers team for years, no matter the financial cost. The benefits of Bouchard greatly outweigh the drawbacks.
