Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid is about two weeks away from his wedding with Lauren Kyle. Leon Draisaitl just became engaged to his actress girlfriend yesterday.
Across the NHL, several other players have either proposed or tied the knot. Adam Fox, Owen Power, Noah Dobson and Jakob Chychrun all announced engagements or got married this summer.

Jared McCann of the Seattle Kraken can be added to the list. He is an Ontario-born player who has spent time with the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers and Pittsburgh Penguins before landing with the Kraken.
He just tied the knot with his girlfriend Valerie on Thursday July 11th. In attendance from the Oilers was defenseman Darnell Nurse and his wife Mikayla. Mikayla took to her Instagram stories to share a few pictures and a video of the nuptials.
Also spotted in the video was former Oilers forward Jordan Eberle, who is currently a teammate of McCann's. Judging from the pictures that others have posted, there was a good time had by all.

Summer is a great time to see all of the different connections that hockey players have with each other. For this writer, this is one connection that I did not have on my bingo card.
