EDMONTON -- Things are going very well for the Edmonton Oilers.

The Oilers are up 3-0 on the Los Angeles Kings after the first period. The team has come out looking to make up for their Game two loss in Edmonton.
Zach Hyman, Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid are the goal scorers for the Oilers so far. One of these goals is significant for one small reason - Kris Knoblauch swapped two players.
Evander Kane traded places with Warren Foegele - and that move has paid off. For Draisaitl's goal, Kane banked a pass off of the net straight to Draisaitl. He fired in a sharp angle shot - the Draisaitl special.
Many were clamoring for a lineup change after the 5-4 overtime loss on Wednesday. Knoblauch surprised by keeping the forward lines the same as they have been for the first two games of the series.
So far Stuart Skinner has been solid with eight saves on eight shots. Time will tell if the Oilers can keep this pace up for the rest of the game.
Five and a half minutes into the second period Drew Doughty tapped the puck into a wide open net - where Skinner had no chance to stop it.
