Oilers Should Have 2 Jets Trade Targets On Radar cover image

The Edmonton Oilers should consider pursuing these two Winnipeg Jets.

Recently, we here at The Hockey Edmonton Oilers took a look at two players who the Pacific Division club should consider targeting from the New York Rangers

Now, in this latest edition of the series, let's look at a two Winnipeg Jets trade candidates who could be solid additions to the Oilers' roster.

Logan Stanley, D

The Oilers could use another defenseman ahead of the deadline, and Logan Stanley stands out as a very fascinating option. The 2016 first-round pick is having a very good year for Winnipeg, as he has set career highs with nine goals, nine assists, and 18 points in 55 games.

The 6-foot-7 blueliner also certainly brings a physical element with his play, as evidenced by his 91 hits and 97 penalty minutes this season. This would make him a nice player for the Oilers to have around when the games get tougher during the playoffs.

Luke Schenn, D

Luke Schenn is another Jets defenseman who could be a fit on the Oilers' roster. The 36-year-old would offer the Oilers another solid option to work with on the right side of their third pairing if acquired. Yet, even if he was acquired to be a seventh defenseman for the Oilers, he could be a good match in Edmonton.

Like Stanley, Schenn would give the Oilers' defensive group more bite due to his hard-nosed style of play. The 18-year veteran still plays a heavy game, as he has 132 hits in 42 games this season with the Jets.

If the Oilers could land Schenn for a mid-round pick, he could be worth bringing in for some extra depth.
