The towering winger brings 219 hits and a physical edge back to Edmonton’s bottom six after securing a new deal to bolster the team's grit and depth.
The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Colton Dach to a two-year extension worth $1.2 million annually. The team confirmed the signing on Sunday afternoon, taking care of business with their final remaining RFA.
Acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks at last season’s trade deadline, the 23-year-old forward appeared in 61 games in 2025–26, recording five goals, eight assists, and 52 penalty minutes. He made his Oilers debut on March 6 and contributed four points in eight games down the stretch.
Dach also saw limited playoff action, picking up one assist in five games while averaging just over eight minutes per night.
Known for his size and physicality, the 6-foot-4, 218-pound winger registered 219 hits last season—ranking among the league’s top 15 despite playing fewer games than others in that group—making him a valuable depth presence moving forward.
