Leon Draisaitl is becoming more of a household name outside of Edmonton. The Edmonton Oilers superstar was recently used as part of a question on the popular quiz show Jeopardy, but none of the contestants were able to find the correct response. 

When the host asked the following:

"Leon Draisaitl stars for the northernmost NHL team but went to warmer Spain to propose to Celeste Desjardins". 

The closest anyone got the right response was one contestant who answer, "Who are the Winnipeg Jets?"

This is either an indication that the contestants didn't know Canada's geography as well as they should have, or they weren't hockey fans.

Draisaitl married Desjardins on August 2, 2025, at Château d'Estoublon in France. The elegant wedding featured friends, family, and Oilers teammates, with Lauren McDavid (Connor's wife) as maid of honor.

The wedding demonstrated how close Leon and Connor are as friends, which has led to some serious surprise that McDavid has yet to sign his contract extension with the team.
