That's why having one that aligns with your values, who you also connect with on a deeper level, is an important thing to settle.
Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner is joining a new agency. The move was announced on Twitter by Ray Petkau, an NHL player agent with Alpha Hockey.
With the change in agency comes a change in agent. J.P Barry of CAA was Skinner's old agent. Now Petkau will take over representing Skinner. Barry represented Skinner from before he signed his ELC contract up till this new deal with Alpha Hockey.
Petkau also represents Laurent Brossoit, James Reimer, Gannon Laroque, Eric Comrie, and Connor Hellebuyck. Alpha Hockey is based in Manitoba. According to their website they provide services in contract negotiations, marketing & endorsements, tax planning, athlete development training, post-career planning and more.

Petkau is the only agent currently under employment at Alpha Hockey. They appear to take a more personal approach to representing their players, which certainly helps them attract a specific client base.
Skinner finished the 2023-24 regular season with 59 games played. In those games he sported a 36-16-5 record, a 2.62 goals against average (GAA), a .905 save percentage (SV%), and two shutouts.
He had similar numbers over the course of the playoffs. Skinner played 23 games, finished with a 14-9-0 record, a 2.45 GAA, a .901 SV% and one shutout.
