The Hockey News writers voted Connor McDavid most likely to win the Art Ross, Hart, and Maurice Richard Trophies.

Monday is the day that the last waivers need to be submitted before the first game of the regular season. The Edmonton Oilers don't play till Wednesday, and they've made all their cuts to this point.

The Anaheim Ducks announced a series of cuts to the roster tonight. Olen Zellweger was sent to juniors, Alex Killorn was put on injured reserve and Zack Kassian was released from his professional tryout contract.

Kassian was looking to continue his professional playing career in Anaheim - after spending a season with the Arizona Coyotes. He was able to carve a role for himself with the Oilers. He was a great complimentary piece for a very long time.
