While it was disappointing to lose the game on Tuesday night to the Vegas Golden Knights, the team played a great game overall. A few bounces go their way instead of the opposite and they would be looking to set a new record tonight.
The Oilers are heavy favorites to win tonight. But like all games against the bottom third of the standings - they can't underestimate their opponents. It will be imperative to play the game that has made this team successful in 16 of it's last 17 games.

With a new look middle six, the forward lines will need to develop chemistry with their new line mates swiftly. This will be Corey Perry's first game wearing an Oilers uniform while going against the team that drafted him. Look for him to have a little pep in his step.
Perry was asked if he thinks that he still has the ability to be a top six forward on a competitive team. "I think so," Perry said with a smile. "That compete level never leaves. When you get on the ice, it doesn't really matter where you are playing, you are trying to win."

Calvin Pickard gets the nod tonight against the Ducks. In his last six starts he is 5-1-0 with a 2.17 goals against average (GAA) and a .922 save percentage (SV%) to go along with one shutout. John Gibson will start for the Ducks.
Game time is at 8 PM Mountain time tonight. The game will be featured on Sportsnet West.
