The Edmonton Oilers are currently linked to two Philadelphia Flyers forwards.

Oilers could put one of Connor Brown, Warren Foegele or Dylan Holloway into the top-6 spot vacated by Kailer Yamamoto.

The Edmonton Oilers have been linked to a handful of top-four defensemen this summer, but it appears that they are also looking to bring in at least one more forward. According to The Fourth Period's Summer Trade Watch Board, the Oilers are linked to Philadelphia Flyers forwards Travis Konecny and Scott Laughton.

The Flyers began a legitimate rebuild this summer, parting ways with players like Kevin Hayes and Ivan Provorov. However, both Konecny and Laughton have also been in the rumor mill, and the Oilers are one of the many clubs looking to add them.

Konecny would provide the Oilers with another excellent top-six forward. Appearing in 60 games last season with the Flyers, the 2015 first-round pick posted 31 goals and 61 points. Adding that kind of consistent production to the top six and the power play would be massive for the Oilers.

Laughton may not produce as frequently as Konecny does offensively, but he is still a very effective player because of his excellent defensive play, solid secondary scoring, and immense physicality. With the Flyers this past season, he had 18 goals, 43 points, and a notable 156 hits. He would be a nice addition to Edmonton's middle six and would be a great candidate for both their power play and penalty kill.

It will be interesting to see if the Oilers' interest in either of these players lead to one of them being Edmonton bound before the summer passes.
