EDMONTON -- That's all folks.
It was a spirited game for the 4 Nations Face-off championship. He was the only Edmonton Oilers player competing in the final match. And he certainly made his mark on the tournament.
For the third game in a row, Connor McDavid scored for Team Canada.
McDavid didn't have the best game. In his own words on ESPN, "I struggled all night." He finished the game with 23:05 time on ice and fired three shots on net. But none were more important than the golden goal.
Mitch Marner passed the puck from the left corner to a wide-open McDavid between the faceoff dots. He sniped his shot above Connor Hellebuyck's glove hand to win the game and the tournament for Canada.

McDavid finished the tournament with three goals, two assists, and five points. The hockey world saw his talents up close and personal throughout the competition.
McDavid is a massively underrated shooter. Last year, he made waves by becoming the third player in NHL history to record 100 assists in an NHL season. He's also two seasons removed from scoring 64 goals.

This moment tops that and is one McDavid won't forget for a long time.
