Lauren Kyle took to Instagram to document the occasion.

EDMONTON -- Love is in the air.
It might be Valentine's Day on Friday, but that doesn't mean things will be rosy when Team Canada plays Team USA on Saturday. The two teams will meet for the first time during the 4 Nations Faceoff.
No games were scheduled for Friday, but Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid and the rest of Team Canada hit the ice for practice.
Later in the day, McDavid's wife, Lauren, posted about her date on Instagram. Apparently, she met up with Steph Marner, the wife of Connor's Team Canada teammate, Mitch Marner.

EDMONTON – “I’ve had a lot of fun and I’ve been impressed with how everything runs here.”
In a story published to her Instagram account on Friday, Lauren shared an image of a couple plates of food, a couple of coffees and the caption, "Pilates & coffee". Lauren also tagged Steph Marner's account in the caption.
It's not clear if Mitch and Connor went along with them on this date. However, it's safe to assume they weren't because they weren't tagged in the post.
The McDavid's have a lot of friends, so seeing them post about social interactions is nothing new. However, because of the pause in the regular NHL schedule, it becomes a big deal.
It's notable to mention that Marner is in the final year of his contract, with no extension in place.
While it's a long shot that Marner would join the Oilers in the offseason, Oilers fans can enjoy the chemistry they share on the ice right now during this tournament.
