On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Erik Karlsson, PIT vs. SJ (84% rostered)- FanDuel $5,600
Obviously, Karlsson is rostered in nearly all standard leagues, but it's worth noting he's a potential value play at this salary for DFS games. Karlsson has five points in his past five games and the Pens should be able to bounce back and control play against a team that's not very good on the road in a matinee that starts at noon local time for the Sharks.
Drew Doughty, LA vs. CGY (50% rostered) - FanDuel $4,900
We haven't really seen any fruits of the labor, but note Doughty is the PP1 QB. The Kings don't play with a defenseman on their top unit too often, but clearly they favor Doughty over Brandt Clarke in these offensive situations. (Why? I don't know). As long as Doughty is in this spot, and facing one of the worst teams in the league, he has some sneaky fantasy value.
Esa Lindell, DAL vs. FLA (25% rostered - FanDuel $4,800
Not the first or second Stars defenseman you'd want to roster in fantasy, but note Lindell has a point in two straight games and he can be a good value play in DFS games with a high floor given his blocked shots. This should be a game featuring plenty of scoring chances by two very good teams, but also plenty of blocked shots because both teams are quite defensively sound.
