On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.

Drew Doughty, D, LA vs. CHI (45% rostered) - FanDuel $4,700

The Kings are experimenting with a defenseman on their top power play – finally – and it was Doughty who got the first crack. With the Kings struggling to score, Jim Hiller’s lines have been unpredictable (and somewhat confusing), but it feels like Doughty still has some sneaky value, especially if he’s still ahead of Brandt Clarke on the depth chart. Note they did play together at even strength, but the primary driver in their fantasy value will be their PP deployment.

Zeev Buium, D, MIN at VAN (45% rostered) - FanDuel $4,800

Buium does nearly all his scoring on the power play, and they will be playing a weak defensive team playing the second half of a back-to-back with their third-string goalie. Buium has two helpers but just two shots in his past four games, making him quite the boom-or-bust candidate. It is still, however, a tough matchup to pass up if you’re looking for some PP opportunities off the waiver wire.
