Hot streaks ignite the waiver wire! Matt Roy extends his scoring surge, while K'Andre Miller returns to bolster the Hurricanes' blue line.

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.

    K’Andre Miller, D, CAR vs. SJ (24% rostered) - FanDuel $5,400

Miller returned to the lineup and notched his second assist in his past four games, putting him at 11 points in 19 games for the season. Shayne Gostisbehere dominates the power play but Miller and Sean Walker are the Canes’ preferred pair, and this is a matchup where the Canes should have a strong advantage with their structured play and their ability to maintain puck possession. The Sharks have lost four of their past six and kept their opponents to two goals or less just once.

Matt Roy, D, WSH vs. CBJ (16% rostered) - FanDuel $4,700

Roy has been on a tear lately with five assists in four games, and even if he doesn’t score any points, he’s usually a good source of blocks. The Jackets generate quite a bit of offense but also give up quite a few scoring chances, which gives Roy a chance to block shots and potentially extend his points streak. The Caps are rested while the Jackets are playing their second game in as many nights.
