Dominate your fantasy blue line with the Avalanche's Cale Makar and the Jets' Josh Morrissey, plus hidden gems poised for big production.

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.

Cale Makar, D, COL at SJ (100% rostered) – FanDuel $7,100

This is a good matchup for the Avs. Even though they played last night against the Knights, there’s little the Sharks can do to stop them from scoring. Makar is one of the few defenseman, if not the only one, who can score as much as a top-line forward, and that’s great value at this salary. There are a lot of options on a 13-game slate but Makar stands out.

Josh Morrissey, D, WPG vs. PIT (98% rostered) – FanDuel $5,600

As I noted a week ago, there’s no chance Morrissey’s cold streak lasts for long. He’s completely flipped the switch with a goal and seven assists in four games. The Jets lean a lot on Morrissey and their top line to generate offense, and even the surprisingly stalwart Pens will have trouble keeping them off the board.

Dmitry Orlov, D, SJ vs. COL (49% rostered) - FanDuel $5,400

Orlov remains on track for a career season sharing the ice with the Sharks’ top young players. He’s scored four of his nine points on the power play, and this has a chance to be a high-scoring game. The Sharks are slated to face their former goalie Mackenzie Blackwood, who may not be sharp in his first start of the season.

Filip Hronek, D, VAN at MIN (39% rostered) - FanDuel $4,800

Quinn Hughes will not play, which means Hronek again takes the bulk of the minutes. The Wild have allowed the fourth-most goals per game this season and have the league’s worst PK, which puts the Canucks in a good position to score a few goals even though they’re missing a few key players. Hronek is averaging over 25 minutes per game in his past five games, including PP1, and provides some offense and steady stream of blocks.
